FAIRBANKS — The first of 18 charter flights direct from Japan landed in Fairbanks on Saturday morning, marking the start of what tourism officials are hoping is a banner winter season.
And it was full flight, with each of the 370 seats on board the 747-400 jumbo jet occupied.
Tsuchiya and Eiko Katsuyukz were onboard, anticipating an Alaska vacation they’ve been planning for awhile.
